Line 'Em Up

Focusing on the lines.

From horizontal stripes to barely-there plaid designs and a range of colors, that's a lot of lines to look at. Though, to make it all work it's all about subtlety and choosing the prints and colors to blend for a bit of off-center harmony.

I love a good overall dress that I can throw over a basic tee, and this Asos Petite Olive check pinni dress had the right amount of color in it and nice deep v-neck.  Though one thing to mention before purchasing is this dress is super tight and rides up really easily. It's not a common thing to happen for short people like me, so I suggest sizing up. For reference, I got a size 0.   Wearing something bulky or too loose underneath is not suggested, because it looks frumpy in all the wrong places.

The way this pinni dress is cut it's made for some drama. Nude, olive, maroon, navy, and black are all up in this outfit and blend together with precision. The thicker navy stripes in my fitted ringer tee downplays the plaid in the olive pinni,  and the maroon edges keep it all together.  I added my favorite striped boater hat for a little flare  and paired it with my favorite pair of summer sandals---the Jeffrey Campbell Zaferia Sandals or also called Amara Lace Up Sandals--to accessorize and accentuate my legs.
