That 70s Fall
70s are still cool again.
I'm a total sucker for everything fall and all the dark colors I can add. I usually try to control myself and buy a few sweaters, but sleeve details are in right now and I can't stop some of these impulse purchases. I've also been adding bottoms continuously this year. Can we says pleats, pleats, pleats?
I'm stepping away from my black and gray colors for a second, and dabbing into the more colorful tones of autumn. Taking the terracotta and olive from the fall pallet of colors, I revamped a 70s inspired look that is perfect for cooler weather. Billowy top and plisse pants add new texture and details for a playful and edgy look. An easy tuck is the key to a more put together look for loose styles.
I love the romantic feels of this top and the structured and modern fit. A high neck adds a classic feel and tied sleeves keep things in place. Any short person knows that sleeves are either a workable situation or a complete miss. Tied sleeves are trendy this season and they are perfect for controlling your sleeve volume. This Forever 21 top was a steal and complements my Topshop khaki plisse pants like a metallic dream.
